10 Things to See and Do at American Heroes

The “American Heroes: A Salute to Veterans” festival returns to The Colony Five Star Sports Complex Saturday, November 5 for another day of family fun. Here are 10 things you’ll want to experience at the FREE American Heroes festival.


  1. The American Hero 5K, 10K and 1 mile Fun Run

Come and participate in this all-ages race or cheer on the runners as they cross the finish line.


  1. Veterans Ceremonies

Help us honor those who have served our country as we pay tribute to these brave men and women.


  1. Carnival

From Ferris wheels to giant slides, there’s plenty of fun to be had at the carnival.


  1. Silent Auction

Proceeds from the Silent Auction benefit the American Heroes event, 22Kill and OCW .


  1. Vendor Booths

Visit with loads of local vendors and stop by our booth – we’ll be playing games and giving away all sorts of patriotic prizes.


  1. Car, Truck and Bike Show

Get up close and personal with some of your favorite rides.


  1. Heroes Hut

Designated for our younger attendees (ages 3 – 12) where they can get hands-on with activities and crafts.


  1. Fair Food

No celebration is complete without the tastes of funnel cakes, nachos, corny dogs and all the other wonderful (usually fried) foods associated with a fair.


  1. Live Music

Enjoy FREE live performances throughout the day from Callahan Divide, Rich O’Toole, The Rankin Twins and Tanya Tucker.


  1. Fireworks Show

Stay for a serious display of FIREWORKS
