Hawaiian Falls Waterpark

Hawaiian Falls is a summer staple with multiple water slides, family wave pool, lazy river and attractions for all ages. Older children love the 65-foot-high Waikiki Wipeout body slide, fast-moving Whirlwind 360 and Hawaiian Halfpipe. Parents appreciate the waterpark’s clean and safe environment with picnic tables, restaurants and private cabana rentals. Don’t forget to check out their one-of-a-kind special events such as Dive-In Movie Night and Bow-Wow Luau.

Lewisville Lake

The Colony boasts over 23 miles of shoreline along Lewisville Lake, the official “Urban Bass Fishing Capital of Texas”. Fishing, boating, wakeboarding and even stand up paddle boarding are popular activities on the water. Lewisville Lake is also known for being a summer party hotspot with areas designated to tie up the boat, crank up the music and hang out.

Lakeside Parks

The Colony has two convenient parks where you can launch your boat, cast a line or relax near the water.

Stewart Creek Park is perfect for a day at the lake, with features such as horseshoe pits, beach volleyball, hiking trail and spaces for tent camping.  The park is also home to many special events including Family Fright Night and multiple 5K races.

Hidden Cove Park and Marina offers a variety of services from watercraft rentals at Sam’s Dock to water fitness classes. DFW Surf operates out of the marina and provides paddleboard and wake surfing instructional classes on Lewisville Lake. Already an expert? Paddleboards and kayaks rentals are available. Don’t forget to grab a bite on the patio of Rockin’ S Bar & Grill, where you can find live music on the weekends.

Top Tip: Plan an overnight trip to Lewisville Lake by renting a climate controlled cabin or bunkhouse at Hidden Cove. It is the perfect weekend getaway, regardless of where you call home.
