Preview: American Heroes – A Salute to Veterans & First Responders

Every year The Colony, TX honors our nation’s heroes. Join us as we salute our veterans and first responders and celebrate them with two days full of live entertainment, November 5 & 6, 2021. Check out the lineup for American Heroes: A Salute to Veterans & First Responders.


Live National Acts

Performances begin at 6:00 PM Friday, so pack a blanket or lawn chair and spend the evening listening to great live music. Every year American Heroes features Grammy, CMA and ACM award-winning artists on the outdoor stage. Past performers include The Oak Ridge Boys, Jack Ingram and Tanya Tucker. This year headliners Lauren Alaina and Plain White T’s take to the stage with Dusty Black, Harper Grace, The Nixons and Deep Blue Something over the course of two days.


Honor American Heroes

Recognize our nation’s heroes for their dedication and support. Pay tribute to the selfless contributions by men and women at the Heroes Ceremony at 5:45 PM on Saturday. If you wish to honor a veteran in your life, submit a photo taken during their time of service for this special presentation. Kids can make a patriotic button to show their support of our Veterans and decorate Holiday cards to send to troops overseas. Don’t miss out on patriotic face painting, button making and much more at the Heroes Hut!


Carnival, Car Show & Charity Auction

Beginning Friday, November 5, enjoy plenty of rides, games and fair food at the three-day American Heroes Carnival. Don’t miss your chance to see vintage cars, trucks and motorcycles from across the decades. Vehicles range from Corvettes to Tri-Five Chevys and Mustangs to motorcycles. Car lovers can register online to show off their hot rods, but enthusiasts are welcome to view all the makes and models for free. 

Stop by the Silent Auction tent and bid on your favorite items. Browse gift baskets, tech packages and donations from local businesses with proceeds benefitting Operation Comfort Warrior and One Tribe Foundation, a Veterans’ suicide awareness organization.


Firework Spectacular 

Fireworks

As the festival comes to a close, the sky lights up red, white and blue with an All-American Fireworks display Saturday night. Enjoy the spectacular display set to patriotic music at one of the only Veterans Day fireworks shows in North Texas.
