The start of a new year is the ideal time to learn something new and pick up a new hobby. Learn to stand up paddleboard (SUP) on the waters of Lewisville Lake. Hidden Cove Park & Marina is home to DFW Surf, which offers instructional SUP classes and guided tours of the lake. Find a passion for painting at classes hosted by Urban8. The food hall is partnering with Stand Up & Paint to provide semi-monthly, step-by-step painting classes. If your resolution involves reading more, learning a new language, or taking on DIY projects visit The Colony Public Library. The library offers over 110,000 catalog items and a multitude of online resources for adults, including access to learn over 80 languages straight from your mobile device. This spring they are introducing maker kits, which offer an introduction to creative skills like hand lettering, stop motion and weaving.
